Tamanend includes two Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Certified Sites to further strengthen
the state’s business and industrial environment.

The two sites are zoned for office development of 480,000 square feet and warehouse development of 720,000 square feet. LED Certification identifies development-ready sites enhancing the Louisiana economy. Requirements include:

  • Twenty-five or more contiguous, buildable acres above the 100-year flood plain
  • Infrastructure in place to provide 250,000 gallons of potable water per day
  • Provision for treating 250,000 gallons of wastewater per day
  • Highway access sufficient to support 83,400 pounds
  • Three-phase electrical service
  • Completed Phase I environmental audit and clearance letter for threatened or endangered species
  • Geotechnical survey
  • Cultural resources study
  • Wetlands delineation
  • Advanced telecommunications service

  • New business incorporations increased 60% in Q1 2017 from Q1 2016
  • Commercial building permits increased 34.4% in Q1 2017 from Q1 2016
  • Job growth increased from 2007 to 2017 by 19% for St. Tammany Parish, as compared with Louisiana’s 4% growth and the national average of 6% growth
  • Total wages increased 63% from 2006 to 2016
    • Wages increased from $2.41 billion in 2006 to $3.92 billion in 2016
    • Total wages for professional, scientific and technical jobs increased 80% from $163 million in 2006 to $293 million in 2016
