October on the Northshore is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather is getting cooler, the fall colors are starting to turn and it is all kinds of pumpkin fun! You will truly be out of your gourd for these three events:
Pumpkin Party #1
The St. Tammany Parenting Center is again hosting Monster Mash on Saturday, October 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bogue Falaya Park in Covington. Now in its 33rd year, Monster Mash is one of the signature fall festivals in St. Tammany Parish. With the expanse of the park, there is plenty of room to safely enjoy trick-or-treating, music, crafts, rides and carnival food. I cannot wait to see the kiddos in their costumes! Pumpkin Party #2
Be sure to bring the family out to Pumpkins in the Park at TerraBella Village in Covington on Saturday, October 23, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You will enjoy fall festivities and an incredible pumpkin patch. The event is loaded with the gourds, with pumpkin painting, face painting, crafts, food and beverage to purchase and more! The event is free for those who donate a non-perishable food item for the Northshore Food Bank.
Pumpkin Party #3
After taking part in the two events above, there is more fun to be had on Saturday, October 30! From 10 a.m. to noon, the Children’s Museum of St. Tammany in Mandeville is hosting Boo Bash on the Lawn on the museum’s grounds. There will be lots of games and activities, and coming in your Halloween costume will make it even better! Admission is only $10. Get your tickets here.
All three pumpkin events are designed for kids, however the entire family is sure to have a great time. These three pumpkin parties are just a sampling of why October is “pumped” up in St. Tammany Parish!
