In last month’s post, I spotlighted three unique sights to experience in St. Tammany Parish. This month, the focus is on fall festivals. The Parish has plenty of festivals to enjoy throughout the season. Here are three over the October 18 – 20 weekend.

Three-Day Festival

St-Tammany-Festival-Games

Whether you attend the Festival of the Lake or the Monster Mash, you are in for a treat. There will be games for all ages!

This festival has been around for quite a bit. Festival of the Lake, presented by Our Lady of the Lake in Mandeville, runs October 18-20. The 37th annual event will boast local restaurants, live music, rides, games and more. Adding to these activities are a car show, beer competition and fun run race. If you have never been to this fest, make sure you mark it on your calendar this year!

Two-Day Festival

If you were lucky enough to attend the inaugural Ozone Songwriter Festival last year, you know this is an event not to miss. The festival returns to Mandeville for two days, October 19-20. With over 100 singer-songwriters scheduled and (hello) free admission, the Ozone is a fantastic setting for a wide variety of music genres. As an added reason, proceeds provide students in St. Tammany with enhanced music education. Get all the details here.

One-Day Festival

If you only have a few hours on Saturday, October 19, you will be one smart goblin to bring the kids to Monster Mash, sponsored by the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Parenting Center. This cool event at Bogue Falaya Park offers families an alternative to enjoy Halloween-style games, crafts, arts, entertainment, and of course, carnival food! Plus, the St. Tammany Outstanding Youth Talent Showcase will perform.

Whether you have three days or just a few hours, the third weekend in October is the perfect time to get outdoors. You will enjoy great food and beverages, live entertainment, arts and so much more. Everything to make you fall in love with the season!
